Organizing Computer Files

Here is a brief list of what you can do to organize your computer files, but if you want to get this list in greater detail you can click here for more instructions and examples on organizing computer files.

Sometimes filing documents on a computer can be a huge challenge. You’re completely free to create a filing system that works for you, but before all of your files end up piled who knows where bring order to your hard drive. Just think of all the time and energy you’ll save every time you need to find a file in the future.

Here are a few tips on organizing your computer files:

  • Set up broad category folders within My Documents
  • Set up sub folders within each category.
  • Use the computer’s sorting function.
  • Specify the default folder your computer saves files in.
  • Sort files to suit your needs.
  • Use file names for your documents that are meaningful.
  • Keep fine tuning your filing system so that it works better and better to fit your needs.
  • Use the Save As feature when you want to keep an unchanged version of a document.
  • Reserve your desktop for items that need immediate attention.

Hallelujah Night

Hallelujah Night is a church service we have on Halloween for parents that will not their children go house to house for candy.

In this day and time, you can't trust just anyone. Parents are worried about their children getting poisoned by eating candy from strangers. So our church started Hallelujah Night.

Hallelujah Night includes:

  • Church Service with worship and activities (skits and christian plays where kids can dress up).
  • After church service, kids go outside for roasted hot dogs, smores...over the camp fire.
  • Hay rides and so much more fun activities.
This was a great idea for church kids to have an awesome time on Halloween and the parents also (worry-free).

Homemade Pie Fundraiser

The women in our church can make the best pies you ever tasted so we decided to have a homemade pie fundraiser to raise money for our pastors to go to India. Certain times of the year is better like just before Thanksgiving or Christmas.

All you need is a form to take the pie orders and a form for the ingredients that church members donate which you can find below. The church ladies can bake the pies.

We have sold many pecan, apple, peach, coconut cream, chocolate cream...the list can go on and on. As long as the church members participate well in donating the ingredients for your pies, you will do very well in raising money with this fundraiser.

I have included a link below to my Fundraiser page where you can download the Homemade Pie fundraiser forms. I hope your church can use utilize these forms.
