Mothers Day Prayers (Poems) is one of my favorite gifts on Mothers Day. A few poetic words wrote as a prayer, expressing our love and care, mean the world to me.
Mothers Day Certificates are another one of my favorite gifts on Mothers Day. A another way of expressing our love to our mothers.
We have a special Mothers Day service at our church and all the men after church serves the mothers dinner and waits on them hand and foot. We have our teens feed all the children and wait on them. I always look forward to Mothers Day!

Inexpensive Mothers Day Ideas
1. Have your Sunday school students turn their hands into flowers for Mother's Day.
Instructions:
- Trace each students hands on several different colors of construction paper.
- Poke a chenille stick through the center.
- Gently round the hands up so they appear almost like tulips.
- Use old toilet paper holders covered in construction paper for their vases.
- Have each child write a note on their vase and their favorite Bible verse to share with Mom.
**You can also use construction paper and make cards for Mom by tracing the hands.
2. Have your Sunday school students make flowers out of kleenexes for their Mom. Mothers Day ideas like these will get your Mom's attention.
Making flowers out of Kleenexes is very easy to do once you know how. They look like carnations when you are done. They can be done in many colors. Mom will love these!
You'll need:
- Box of Kleenex in your favorite flower color
- Stapler
Instructions:
- Take two pieces of Kleenex tissue and open them up. Lay one down on top of the other flatly in front of you.
- Fold the tissues width wise, accordion-style with each fold being about a half inch.
- Put a staple in the center of the folds once the whole tissue is folded.
- Check to see that the ends are even with each other. Use scissors to trim where you need to.
- Starting at one end on one side gently pull apart the layers of tissues. When you're done with both sides, fluff the tissue.
- Optional: Using water based acrylic paint and a basic paintbrush, very softly swipe the tips of the petals with paint to give your flowers a splash of color.
Be very careful, remember tissue is very delicate and can be easily torn.
3. Here are some more Mothers Day ideas - After the Sunday school students make their gifts for their Moms then you might have your teens do a short skit about Mother's Day and your pastor and pastor's wife can share a message about the importance of real mothers in our world today!
