Not quite sure what my title would be, if any

We have a small church around 60 people. We do not have any employees and our pastor does not receive a salary. They call me the church secretary. I handle everything except recording the meeting notes for our financial business meetings, because I am the one preparing and reading the income/expense reports at the meeting. Here is what I do. I handle all the offerings coming into our church, counting and recording them. I write all the checks for any expenses going out and record them. I write and record income/expenses for our general fund, special fund, and youth fund. I print out all the income/expense reports for each month. I record all membership information additions or changes in our membership software. I keep track of all the income and expenses and members and visitors within our church. I work with the pastor to conduct the financial business meetings each quarter. I handle all 1099-MISC forms and estimated tax payments made to the IRS.
I was just curious if there was a different title I should be using or is church secretary fine.
(Reply)This is a decision for your pastor or church board, but my own personal advise would be Church Secretary.
I wear a lot of hats in my church that involves everything from memberships and recording meetings to recording all the financial expenses, writing checks, etc. My official title is the Church Secretary.
I know several other church secretaries that do all of the above that you do and their title is the Church Secretary, but as I said before present this to your pastor and church board for approval of your title.
Hope this helps!
