Organize Your Church Contributions for the New Year

I hope everyone had a Wonderful Christmas and New Year! We are in Artic temperatures here. Last night we had a low of 1 degree, Oklahoma is not supposed to get this cold - makes me want to make a visit down south!

I wanted to send out just a brief newsletter to let everyone know about the recent updates in Shepherdbase and view tips on organizing your church contributions.

I have upgraded my computer recently and just started today with the capability of emailing Shepherdbase. This is timely due to Shepherdbase is still on sale for $29.99 until the end of January 2010. Read more below.

Organize Your Church Contributions

Every church secretary knows that if you don't have your church member's contributions organized by the end of the year you are in some kind of trouble. It doesn't take long before member's are looking for their Annual Contribution letters.

If you do not have some kind of system set up you find yourself trying to do a year's worth of work in 2 days staying up day and night to do the impossible. There are several ways to get your contributions organized. Here are a few tips:

  • Create a spreadsheet or purchase a database that will automatically total contributions for each member.

Shepherdbase (my church membership database) will keep a running total of contributions and much more. You just key in their contributions once a week and then on January 1st of next year you can pull up the Annual Contribution letter that comes with Shepherdbase and print your letters within minutes. Shepherdbase is linked into the contribution letter to merge total contributions per member.

I have made Shepherdbase available at an affordable price so every church should be able to enjoy it's benefits.

However you track your member's contributions it's up to you, but I would advise that you keep up with them so you will be well-prepared at the end of the year and make your New Year a good one.

Shepherdbase Updates and Email Availability

Great News! I have upgraded my computer to be able to email Shepherdbase to my customers. If you would rather pay the $6.00 shipping and get a the CD mailed to you it's totally your choice. If you pay to have Shepherdbase emailed and for some reason your computer will not download it, you will be able to pay the $6.00 shipping and then I will ship Shepherdbase to you ASAP.

The other update I wanted my Shepherdbase customers to know is how to fix the birth date lower than 1930 problem (had one customer with this problem). If you are trying to put a birth date in lower than 1930 and it will not let you change it this means your computer control panel has to be formatted to go lower. Here are the instructions for this update:

New Year's Shepherdbase Special

I decided to give more of my visitors a chance to purchase Shepherdbase (church membership database) by putting it on special for $29.99 from now until the end of January 2010. The regular price of $35.00 will resume February 1st, 2010 so hurry and don't miss out on this saving.

Shepherdbase provides churches with a simple and easy solution to track church membership information and contribution records.

Small to medium-sized churches often has volunteers who maintains the church records. These volunteers need a database that is simple, inexpensive and user friendly.

Before I had this database I would always dread this time of year when I knew I was going to have to calculate member contributions and then send everyone an Annual Contribution letter. Since I created Shepherdbase I can print these same letters with just a click of a button. I love to find ways to save my time and and others time which is what this database does in many ways.

If you have any questions on Shepherdbase, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Happy New Year! :)
