Church Membership: Free Membership Applications

Many churches have a membership application that they require you to fill out first to become a member. It's a way for the church to keep track of birthdays, addresses, etc.

It also gives the member a sense of belonging - to feel like they are making a conscious choice to identify with and become part of the church family.

Here are some reasons to become a member of your church:

In many churches only the members who have filled out applications for membership can vote on church decisions. The non-members are usually welcome to freely participate in all congregational meetings, but only members can vote.
Becoming a member will usually open up new opportunities for you to serve in significant ministry roles within the church family. Usually by committing yourself to becoming a member you will have a greater focus to use and develop your gifts, abilities and serving skills and leadership within the church family.
The reward for your loving service within the church family will have eternal significance in your life and the lives of others. You will also experience the joy and reward of being part of what God is doing with and throughout the entire church family.
