The Church Visitor Report is available free to download, customize and print for your Pastor(s), church administrative office...
If your new church visitors are not returning and connecting with your congregation or church members then:
- Your church cannot grow
- You cannot help new believers who responded to an alter call continue on with their new life with Jesus
- You cannot help the new people who move into your community get involved with your church with their new talents...
Improving your church hospitality will help increase your first time church visitors decision on whether to return to your church.
The report below will help increase your rate of returning new church visitors by following up with them and keeping track of when they visited, when you followed up the first time and second time, etc. The report consists of:
- Date Visited
- New Church Visitor First and Last Name
- Church Visitor Address
- Church Visitor Phone, Email and Age
- Invited By [Name]
- Check Boxes to mark if Church Visitor: First Time Visitor, New in Community, Looking for a Church, Would Like to Know More about Church, Would like a Minister to Call Me, Interested in Home Bible School, 1st Follow Up or 2nd Follow Up

This report below can be modified to fit your New Church Visitor Card or form that they fill out. Always encourage your visitors to fill out these forms/cards when they visit.
If you don't have their contact information then you can't send them literature, make a home visit, carry cookies to their house, or invite them to the next church service.
The sample Welcome Letters (4) are a great way for your Pastor(s), etc. to follow up with the new church visitors. One of these letters includes:
Dear [Church Visitor’s Name],
Greetings! I’m glad you joined us this past Sunday. We believe we are in great days to be serving Jesus, with even greater ahead! I’m glad you could attend. I hope that you found our time together inspiring, meaningful, challenging and perhaps even a little fun. We certainly enjoyed having you with us.
Wow! Here we are already well into the 21st Century. The older I get, the faster it seems to fly! Perhaps that’s why the Bible tells us to “Make the most of every opportunity.” Those opportunities come and go so quickly and more often than not never return. That’s one of the reasons why I’m so glad you have been with us. Sunday is such a great opportunity for worship, and I hope that it will lead to many more opportunities to get to know and enjoy each other. Thanks for coming!
Jesus said, “Whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst.” (John 4:14) We do trust and hope that you’ll find watering holes to fill your thirst again and again.
