The sample Volunteer Church Request Form below for this ministry in prisons should be filled out when a member or a person is interested in serving the spiritual and religious needs of the prison inmates through your church. You will need to submit this form to the Church Board for approval before this person participates in this ministry in prisons.
What is Prison Ministries? These prison ministries include fellowship with prisoners, listening, teaching, mentoring, caring with the heart with a passionate desire to simultaneously to meet Jesus and demonstrate Jesus to jailed and imprisoned inmates.
This is a very special ministry in prisons that reaches out to these prison inmates who are seeking to know where they can find their peace from within. These inmates needs to know and they need to feel the Love of God that will be presented through these ministers, etc. in only a way that God can do through these willing vessels.

Not every Christian is going to have the desire or the burden to minister to prisoners, and this is absolutely okay. However, for those who are called, there is a passion that wells up from within that draws you inside those prison walls, past the barbed wire, past the concrete wall, to share the Love of Jesus Christ to a generation of men and women who are desperately wanting to know and experience this same Love.
