When you think of Church Mission Statements, there are two very separate but very similar things that you imagine and these are the mission statement and vision statement.
What is the difference between the Mission and Vision Statement?
The Church Mission Statement is very practical in its scope. In other words, it focuses on what your church will accomplish and how it will accomplish it. The Vision Statement is more designed to be abstract. In other words, it focuses on the personality of the church and how God sees your local church fitting into the larger framework of the global church.
Why are these statements important to my church? There are many reasons why your church needs these statements and here are a few:
- To Focus the Efforts of Your Church on Unified Goals and Objectives
- To Open a Church Bank Account (Most banks will request these statements to open a church account)
- To State on Paper Just How Your Church Believes (Statement of Faith)

- About Sin and Salvation - We
believe that God created Adam and Eve in His image, but they sinned when tempted
by Satan. Everyone has sinned and needs salvation...
