The Submit Church News form is available free below to download, customize and print for church administrative office, Human Resources Dept., etc. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to download at your convenience.
Submitting church news is a great way to spread the word (information) to all church members and local communities regarding the special church events and activities currently available along with important information that the church members, etc. need to know or be aware about.
This church news form is utilized when a person needs or wants to submit church news such as special events (revivals, gospel music concerts, holiday programs/events, out-of-town speakers, pot luck dinners, quarterly meetings...) in the newspaper, etc.
Always include deadlines for those who are submitting church news articles and information for upcoming issues. Generally, deadlines are a certain day set in the month prior to the publication and are extremely important to ensure timely newsletters, etc..
The articles for church news should be newsworthy of interest to the church members and local community. Always remember to include descriptive headlines.
Be sure to cover the basics of writing an article such as:
- Who: Who was involved?
- What: What happened and what was the event?
- When: When did it happen?
- Where: Where did it happen?
- Why: Why did it happen?
- How: How did it happen or what was the nature of the event?
Briefly state the main point of the article or story in the first paragraph somewhere. An example: [Church Name] held their Annual Gospel Singing Event at [Place of Event] on [Annual Gospel Singing Event Date].
Other basics of writing an article is to identify who wrote the article, use your spell-check and proofread, check the spelling of all the names used in the article, be as specific as possible with dates,numbers and names, be accurate and verify your information. If you think someone might be interested in learning more then include phone number, email of contact person at end of the article.
